474 N. Lake Shore Drive - Parking Garage Renovation & Expansion Joint Repairs
Our Trinity-Award winning restoration initiative at 474 N. Lake Shore Drive was broad and included many work items.  Chiefly among those were providing dust enclosures for a 13-story structure, performing all manner of concrete patch repairs, replacing expansion joints, installing sealant and Traffic-Bearing Membrane, and finishing with line-striping.  Even though these conditions evolved and interrupted our schedule, we were still able to return the garage to ownership two weeks early.

Specialized extruded silicone solutions are increasingly providing a cost-effective, durable alterative for some of today’s troublesome restoration challenges. Cost of installation may be significantly lower since several labor-intensive steps such as removal of existing sealant can be eliminated, also resulting in a decrease in time to complete the project. Needless energy loss is reduced, occupant comfort is increased and a reliable, durable and aesthetically pleasing solution is provided oftentimes at a cost of installation less than the cost of a standard sealant replacement project. The building lifecycle can be extended and some of the most problematic joint sealing issues that challenge the weather-tightness of a building can be efficiently and effectively handled with these silicone solutions that do not break down from exposure to UV, ozone or other atmospheric conditions.
